Infrastructure equipment and finance company SREI International Finance, along with its associate company Indian Infrastructure Equipment, has struck a deal with Tata Motors for 10,000 vehicles.
According to industry data, for two months, sale of the Zest (7,359 units) were higher than that of Amaze (6,792 units).
Among the Sensex pack, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, State Bank of India and Titan were the biggest laggards. Larsen & Toubro, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies and Tata Steel were the biggest gainers.
Tata Motors today launched its mini-truck 'Ace Super City Giant' in Thailand and also disclosed plans to enter the Thai car market in the next "couple of years". The company is also looking to tap opportunities in the Malaysia and Indonesia. "We would like to get into the car market here soon. Small car is the largest segment here and in a couple of year's time we expect to be there," Tata Motors Thailand CEO Ajit Venkataraman said at the Thailand International Motor Expo.
Tata Motors has expressed interest in acquiring engine and transmission units of Daewoo Motors India soon after acquiring commercial vehicles operations of Daewoo Korea.
